Canoe Polo Park Project
Back in 2019, Bayley Produce proudly teamed up with Canoe Polo Hawke’s Bay to help create a purpose-built canoe polo facility at Mitre 10 Park in Hastings — a project that has since become a cornerstone for the sport in the region.
Recognising the dedication and passion of the local canoe polo community, Bayley Produce stepped in to loan earthmoving equipment, donate time, and contribute funding toward the development. The goal was simple: to help turn a long-held vision into reality and provide athletes with a facility built specifically for their sport.
The project required extensive earthworks and site preparation before the pools could be installed, and Bayley Produce’s support helped keep costs down and progress moving. By supplying machinery and manpower, the company played a hands-on role in shaping the facility — literally moving the earth that now forms the foundation of one of New Zealand’s premier canoe polo venues.
Since its completion, the Mitre 10 Park canoe polo facility has hosted numerous local and national competitions, giving players from across the country a high-quality venue to train and compete. For Bayley Produce, being part of this project represents more than just sponsorship — it’s about investing in people, teamwork, and community growth.
